Jessamine Bette Audiobook Narration was founded in the belief that stories come to life when you read them out loud. Jessamine is new to the industry and would love to work with an array of authors from all different forms of publishing. She received narration training from Piper Goodeve and vocal training from Carl Hulden, both of New York. Currently, she resides in Honolulu.

Jessamine received her Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Southern California where she graduated with cum laude honors. It was here that she learned her love of storytelling, but it took a few years until she understood the role that voice plays in bringing a story to life.

The realization came during Jessamine’s time at Amazon where she designed the personality for the A.I. character Alexa. It was Jessamine’s job to personify Alexa by developing and writing her responses to questions about Alexa’s personal favorites, opinions, and dreams. And it was at this time that Jessamine began to understand that the words she wrote meant so much more when they came from Alexa. On the page, they were interesting. Spoken by Alexa, they were so much more. Audiobook narration and A.I. personality design are very different pursuits. But they both highlight the power of the spoken word, and that is precisely what Jessamine loves about it.

In her free time, Jessamine likes to enter baking competitions and spend time with her dogs, Gunner and Coco Bean. Soft, snuggly, and quiet – they are her most loyal reading companions. Together, they sit by candlelight and read for hours and hours, completely untethering themselves from the real world.

Jessamine is an emotional reader. So much so that it is not unusual to find her crying over a nonfiction book about neuroscience or rewilding. She also loves a good cozy mystery and prides herself on her ability to figure out whodunit before the big reveal. She did, however, have to learn to quiet her intuition after being labelled a walking spoiler alert.

Jessamine is not a fan of declaring favorites but is willing to concede that she has read and re-read Jane Austen more than any other author...by far.
